A small leak in an irrigation line might not seem urgent. But left alone, it can quietly waste hundreds of gallons, erode soil around your foundation, and drive up your water bill before you even know what hit you. This one in Napa was no different.
We were called out to repair a leaking 3/4" PVC irrigation pipe running along the front of a home. The old section was corroded, discolored, and clearly past its useful life. You can see the contrast right there - the damaged piece pulled out, stained and worn, next to the clean new coupling already seated in the repaired line.
This is exactly the kind of repair that gets put off. It's outside, it's not flooding the house, and it feels like a "deal with it later" situation. But irrigation leaks like this don't fix themselves. They get worse, especially when the system kicks on regularly. Catching it early saves a lot more than just water.
We cut out the compromised section, fitted new PVC with proper couplings, and left the line clean and solid. No guesswork, no temporary patch. When we're done with a repair like this, it's built to hold.
If you've got cracked or worn piping around your property - irrigation, supply lines, anything - it's worth getting eyes on it before it becomes a bigger issue. Leak detection and pipe repair is something we handle day in and day out, and a quick fix now beats an emergency call later.
